Twitch CEO says GTA 6 multiplayer will launch in 2027
Rockstar has described GTA 6 as a "single-player experience," but everyone expects the game to eventually include a multiplayer element given the enormous success of the existing GTA Online. But when could GTA 6's online multiplayer release? According to Twitch CEO Dan Clancy, fans can expect it sometime in 2027. He said this in an interview with Bloomberg ( via IGN ), saying Twitch spent "a lot of time talking with Rockstar about their plans." He said Twitch stands to benefit from GTA 6's release, too, because content creators will flock to it and stream footage on Twitch. But Clancy theorized an "even bigger" bump to Twitch numbers could come in 2027 "when they launch multiplayer." GTA 6 launches in November.
