News Hub Central is an independent news digest. This page sets out where our stories come from, how they are written, and what we do when we get something wrong.
Where our stories come from
We monitor the public news feeds of established outlets, including the BBC, Al Jazeera, NPR, The Guardian, CNBC, TechCrunch, Ars Technica, The Verge, ESPN, Variety and others. When several outlets report the same event, we group those reports together and treat the story as more significant.
How stories are written
Every summary on this site is written from scratch in our own words. We do not republish another outlet's text, headlines or photographs as our own. Each story names the outlet that reported it and links to their full article, so the original reporting always gets the click and the credit.
How we use AI
We use automated tools to gather feeds, group duplicate reports and draft the short summary you read on each story page. Summaries drafted this way are labelled on the page. AI is used to condense reporting that already exists — never to invent facts, quotes, sources or events. The underlying facts always trace back to the linked outlet.
Images
Where a story shows an image supplied in an outlet's own public feed, it is captioned with that outlet's name. We do not crop, alter or re-caption images to change their meaning, and we remove any image on request from its rights holder.
Corrections
If a summary is inaccurate, misleading or out of date, tell us through the contact page and we will correct or remove it. Corrections are made to the story page itself rather than published separately, because our pages are short summaries rather than original reporting.
Advertising
The site is funded by display advertising. Advertisers have no influence over which stories we cover or how they are summarised, and no story is placed or promoted in exchange for payment.

News Hub Central is edited by Jordan Hale, who sets the sourcing and correction policies on this page and is responsible for what the site publishes. Questions about a story, a correction or a takedown reach the editor directly through the contact page.
