Indian media conglomerate JioStar reported an operating revenue increase of 10.1 percent year-on-year to INR68.1 billion, equivalent to $710 million, for the July through September quarter. The financial growth occurred despite a sluggish advertising environment and was highlighted by the launch of the inaugural season of "Bigg Boss Bangla," hosted by former Indian cricket team captain Sourav Ganguly.
Even with the top-line expansion, the company experienced a 13.2 percent decline in profit after tax, dropping to INR11.5 billion, or $120 million, during the same three-month period. Additional details regarding the corporate performance and future programming strategies are anticipated as ongoing updates emerge.
