Nigel Farage has unveiled Helen Jenner as Reform UK’s new leader in Wales after her predecessor stood down last week following his arrest. Jenner, who was previously Reform’s deputy leader in Wales, joined Farage on the steps of the Senedd, where he described the loss of the party’s Welsh leader last week as a “bump in the road”. Dan Thomas announced last week that he was standing down after he was arrested and bailed on suspicion of assault and controlling or coercive behaviour. The former Tory councillor had only been announced as Reform’s Welsh leader by Nigel Farage in February. Jenner is a Welsh speaker from Neath, near Port Talbot in south Wales.
