Remedy’s Big Bet On Control Resonant Appears To Be Paying Off
Following the September release of Control Resonant , business is boomin' for developer Remedy Entertainment. The studio reported that its third-quarter revenue surged 226% to €39.6 million / $44.3 million after the game's release, following the financial review period on October 15, a feat CEO Jean-Charles Gaudechon called "a defining milestone" for Remedy. In terms of operating profit, Remedy said it made €0.6 million / $670,794, and while that may not sound like much, it's still better than the €16.4 million / $18.3 million loss the studio posted in the same quarter last year. Control Resonant has sold over 1 million units, making it Remedy's fastest-selling title to date, with most sales coming from the US. The game has also been popular in the US and the UK, and Remedy says that half of the players were new to the franchise. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=f1LEHPr8e_o&pp=0gcJCSsMAYc
