I wasn't around to witness the golden age of Martial Arts cinema, but there are moments in Phantom Blade Zero that make me feel as though I've tumbled through a crack in time onto the set of a kung fu film. There's one particular encounter that sticks in my mind. Approaching a group of enemies in a shaded valley, I slowly raise my sword, and the first enemy rushes at me. Fool. I perfectly parry the blow, performing a slow-motion somersault to land behind him and plant my sword firmly in his back. The next guy comes running in, and I kick him in the face while simultaneously stabbing the previous enemy in the throat. A third joins the fray - this one on horseback - so I boot him off his horse, and use his steed to trample his helpless friend into the dust. Then, at last, there is silence. Read more

Why There Won’t Be A Helldivers 3 Anytime Soon, If Ever
Helldivers 2 has been a huge hit for developer Arrowhead and publisher Sony, but don't expect a third game in the series anytime soon. Arrowhead's chief creative officer, Johan Pilestedt, told Rock Paper Shotgun that a sequel would reset "everything" and force the player to "start over." He doesn't want to ask the community to do that, so Arrowhead will instead keep the momentum going with the existing game by offering new content. "Some studios can treat players like a short-term cash grab," Pilestedt said. "We see players as the actual engine of the game: they're the ones bringing in friends, making memes, and keeping the game alive. When you have an active community doing that, you don’t need a sequel." He went on to say that the video game industry today is "panicking" because "the old live-service tricks don't work anymore," and that would also apply to a hypothetical Helldivers 3.
